David looks after the overall strategy of the Digital Library and the content of the library website. David also has responsibility for resource and ebook acquisition.
David has worked in the LIS sector for 30 years in a variety of roles, such as: indexer, cataloguer, editor and project manager in both the public and private sectors. Before ETBI, David worked as systems librarian at Dublin Business School where he also worked upon the DBS Business Review journal (a cross-institutional, peer-reviewed, open-access journal).
Robert's role involves creating and developing subject guides and content for the ETBI FET Digital Library website as well as supporting the development of the scholarly open access FET journal and EOLAS, the FET sectoral repository. Robert also works on the marketing and promotion of the library, such as through the Digital Library newsletter.
Robert previously worked in the libraries of DBS, Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), and the National College of Ireland (NCI). While in DBS he worked as research librarian, supporting faculty with their research, managing the DBS institutional repository, eSource, and was managing editor of DBS Business Review. He also lectured on the DBS MSc in Information and Library Management, where he taught on the Information Organisation module and provided guest lectures on the topic of ePortfolios.
