The ETBI FET Conference 2024, a national large scale ETBI Further Education and Training sectoral event, held at the Athlone Springs Hotel on February 21/22 2024, focused on ‘Pathways – Pathways to FET, Pathways in FET, Pathways from FET’ and the journey learners navigate on these pathways. Providing an invaluable opportunity for national and international cross-sectoral engagement, the conference included expert speakers from the sector, government departments, European perspectives, and wider stakeholder organisations comprehensively showcasing the theme of Pathways.
The conference concentrated on the ‘Potential’ pillar of the ETBI Strategy 2022-2024 to explore a future FET environment that is robust and agile and one which supports the learner in their individual journey to meet their potential and follow the many pathways to, within and from FET. This included promoting FET as a destination.
The conference also provided thematic opportunities which encouraged partnership, promoted collaboration, and harnessed the potential of the ETB FET sector through the sharing of knowledge and expertise within the sector, promoting engagement between the communities of practice, networks and forums.
