Discussed key changes SOLAS has facilitated in recent years to enhance pathways for learners, the new FET College of the Future initiative, how can we ensure that employers and industry partners fully recognise and value these micro credentials/qualifications and the work of the International Panel. Providing a cross sectoral and national viewpoint this panel provided an opportunity for attendees to explore FET as evolving to become more inclusive, flexible, and responsive to the needs of learners at all stages of life.
In line with the theme of Lifelong Learning – Transforming Lives and Empowering Futures through FET, Caitriona Murphy, Chief Executive of Dublin & Dún Laoghaire ETB and Dr Lindsay Malone, Director of FET with Waterford & Wexford ETB discussed lifelong learning journeys and the transformative impact of FET to empower the futures of learners. Dr Lindsay Malone provided her unique and personal journey of education while being interviewed.
