Instead of searching for items, you can browse or search the publications covered by the Archive (the Irish Times and the Weekly Irish Times, basically). Let's look at the publications page

1. Search box - enter your search query here
2. Choose to search
   • Anywhere in title
   • Beginning of title
   • In Publication Summary (7 below)
   • Subject
3. Search Limiters
4. Total number of publications covered by the database
5. View publication summary (7 below) or just the publication title
6. Source type identifier
7. Publication summary - contains
   • Link to publication page
   • Full-text coverage dates
   • Citation/abstract coverage dates
   • Publisher
   • Place of publication

Each publication has its own page from where you can search or browse individual issues and read articles.

The publication homepage offers similar options to the search results page: 

1. Publication title and publisher
2. Search for articles within this publication
3. Go to Advanced search page
4. Source type (always Historical Newspaper!)
5. Title information
6. Select issue to view
7. Tick box to select all articles
   • Create a citation record for the item to include in your reference list
   • Send the item by email
   • Save the item to My Research
   • All save options (include print item)
8. Search for articles within an issue
9. Individual article record - click title to go to article page (with tick box for use with 12 below)
10. Copy the publication page URL
11. Go to previous or next issue
12. Actions you can take with individually selected items
    • Create a citation record for the item to include in your reference list
    • Send the item by email
    • Save the item to My Research
