This unit aims to enable the learners to learn the basis of the science behind light and how it travels.>

Learners will explore how light waves travel through different mediums using examples we see around us and understand the spectrum of colours which make up white light and how it can be broken down to investigate these colours. There is material to learn a little about the history of photography from the Camera Obscura and pinhole camera to modern phone cameras and examine the use and role of various lenses in photography and to control and direct light to take better photographs./p>
