VLebooks is an ebook platform that hosts ebooks that the library owns and many more that it doesn't own.
You have the choice of reading books online, or downloading the ebook reading it on your desktop, tablet or mobile. When you read online, you are able to copy, make notes and print pages from the book.
Note: you can only print or copy around 5-10% of a book and this varies by publisher
VLebooks ebooks can be accessed on Windows and Mac computers, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices using the Adobe Digital Editions app, which you can download from the Adobe website.
Adobe Digital Editions will work with a large number of devices, including some ereaders
Note: You cannot download VLebooks ebooks to your Kindle
There are over 300,000 books on VLebooks, with new books being added regularly The library has full-text access to a very small number of ebooks.. If you are browsing or searching through VLebooks, the Refine column on the left hand side of the search page will tell you if any of your search results are owned by the library
Click on In My Library to see the books owned by the library
If the library doesn't own a book, you can look at the first 50 pages of it for 5 minutes.
To preview a book, click on Full Details and then click on Preview
You can click on the book cover or book title to see more detail about the book - and in that detail you can also preview the book
