NewsBank is a newspaper resource that provides access to daily and weekly newspapers worldwide including UK and Irish newspapers and The Irish Times. Access to back issues is also provided. In addition to newspapers, NewsBank also provides access to web-only news articles, and some journals and magazines.
NewsBank is not a publisher. Instead, it is what is known as an aggregator. Aggregators provide access to content created by publishers. Everything available on NewsBank has been published elsewhere, NewsBank collects news material from different publishers and makes it available on one platform.
NewsBank provides comprehensive news reporting, photos, advertisements, classified ads, obituaries, cartoons, and more from newspapers worldwide including a variety of Irish and UK newspapers. Access to back issues is also provided, with different newspapers going further back than others.
You can search for articles or can browse individual issues. Articles can be read formatted for the web (referred to as Text in NewsBank, or presented as images of how they appear in the newspaper itself.
