Belong To are the national organisation supporting LGBTQ+ young people in Ireland. Operating since 2003, working with LGBTQ+ young people in a variety of different settings to create a world where they are equal, safe, and valued.

Stephen Cassidy is the Education & Training Manager with Belong To. His background is in education programmes in the Global South, particularly in humanitarian contexts in sub-Saharan Africa. Since 2021, Stephen has been involved in the development and delivery of Belong To’s LGBTQ+ education initiatives, including training more than 6,000 staff in over 100 post-primary and Youthreach centres across the country through the LGBTQ+ Quality Mark, as well as the Stand Up Awareness Week campaign.
