The ETBI Inclusion Unit officially launched the FET Learner Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework in March 2023. To support the rollout and application of this Framework, ETBI is now running its second year of the ETBI FET Learner Mental Health & Wellbeing Framework Accreditation. This year, the accreditation will include both Level 1 and Level 2 of the framework.
This accreditation aims to recognise the work of staff and/or learners throughout FET, and celebrate, support and spotlight the projects and initiatives that promote the mental health and wellbeing of learners.
Any initiatives or projects submitted for accreditation need to fulfil of the following criteria to be considered:
For Level 1:
For Level 2
You can access the Framework on the ETBI library
Applications will open on Thursday, October 10th 2024 - which is also World Mental Health Day - via an online form. More information will be provided on launch day, which will be hosted online on the afternoon of October 10th from 12:30pm -2pm.
The session will be recorded and shared afterwards, in case you cannot attend live.
We understand that there are a lot of activities happening across the FET sector that have a positive impact. With this accreditation, we want to look at mental health promotion as intentional activity that is needs-informed and can support and promote best practice across the sector. To achieve accreditation, the project or initiative should follow the APIE model - needs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
This is a model of good practice for health promotion activities:
What is then done with this evaluation? A process of continuous improvement
This accreditation process has been informed by the NYCI Health Quality Mark and Healthy Ireland’s (HI) Healthy Workplaces Framework.
