The Learner Mental Health and Wellbeing Accreditation was developed in conjunction with Jigsaw Ireland to showcase the range of approaches adopted in the promotion of learner mental health and wellbeing in a FET whole of centre/college approach in line with Level 1 of the FET Learner Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework.
The accreditation aims to recognise the work of staff and/or learners and celebrate the projects and initiatives that promote positive mental health and wellbeing initiatives and supports for all FET Learners, as well as those which create learning environments consistent with the promotion of positive mental health & wellbeing.
These pages showcase some of the work done in the ETBs under this framework.
At the 2024 ETBI FET Conference held in the Athlone Springs Hotel, February 21/22, Paul Patton, Director of FET at LCETB discussed the accreditation initiative with Niamh Clancy (ETBI Incision unit) and Carrie Budds (Jigsaw).
