ETBI's PL&D unit has partnered with the Digital Learning Institute (DLI) to deliver a series of webinars to help demystify the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning and how it can be used in FET practice.
Webinar 1
This session takes a practical look at the application of AI tools across the learning process form analysis, design, development, implementation and rollout. The session also showcases some of the emerging AI tools.
The 1 hour session explores the following questions in AI for learning:
What is the core terminology and definitions that underpin AI for learning?
How can AI have positive impact across the learning design process?
What are the watchouts and areas for consideration including ethics and data privacy?
"The Impact of AI on Learning Design" offers a comprehensive insight into how artificial intelligence is revolutionising educational strategies, and includes:
Sue has been working with students with disabilities to assess which assistive technology tools can improve access and enhance learning. She has also researched emerging technologies and provided advice and training.
This session covers the following:
What is Assistive Technology and its current provision?
How can AI enhance these assistive technologies?
AI applications in various Assistive Technologies, especially in digital education.
The third session in our four-part series is guided by leading immersive technologies expert Laurence Chater and focuses on the transformative power of AI in enhancing immersive educational experiences.
The session covers the following:
An introduction to AI's foundational role
A discussion of AI's ability to enrich learning through personalisation and adaptability while addressing challenges.
An exploration of how AI facilitates immersive learning creation, touching on digital content, gamification, language processing, computer vision, and evaluation methods.
